Super Bowl Sunday: Let's get ready to rumble!

Miami and Miami Beach are starting to percolate as the big game approaches. There's a buzz in the air and excitement on the city streets. On Ocean Drive from First all the way up to 15th, there is plenty of action. Tents are being pitched, bandstands are up - from ESPN to CBS - are lined up as you walk down Ocean Drive. The streets still have vehicular traffic but not for long. From Thursday to Sunday night you will not be able to drive a car on Ocean Drive. As I drive my Black Lincoln Town car around Miami and the beaches I've noticed New Orleans Saints logos on billboards and on bus benches, Indianapolis Colts seem to be very low key. The vibe here seem to be much more hype on the Saints. My pediction Saints by 4 and over under 40 points. Good luck to all and have fun! Manning is King :-)

Pro Bowl & Super Bowl Miami 2010

The Pro Bowl has generally been played one week after The Super Bowl. This year, however, the game will be played one week prior: Sunday, January 31, 2010. The Pro Bowl will be hosted at Land Shark Stadium in the suburb of Miami Gardens, FL., a change of venue for the Pro Bowl, which has previously been played in Hawaii.

Beautiful Miami has the honor of hosting both prestigious events this year! Land Shark Stadium address is: 2269 Dan Marino Bouvlevard, Miami, Florida 33056. Limo and car hire services will be available for both of these events. The stadium has hosted four Superbowls and will once again be hosting another on February 7, 2010. LOCAL FAVORITE - Mattarello's Bakery

If you'd like to step out of your Miami limo and stretch your legs, maybe even grab a bite to eat, Mattarello's Bakery at 1450 Washington Avenue in Miami is another terrific Local Favorite. This is an authentic Italian bakery and deli - both owners are originally from Florence. You know this is the real deal when the primary language spoken by the customers and the staff is Italian.

Start your day off with the perfect espresso or frothy cappucino - then browse through the mouth-watering selection of homemade breads and pastries to accompany your coffee. Their sugar doughnuts filled with chocolate custard should be illegal (and if they ever become so, I'm going criminal)! Mornings when soccer matches are broadcast live from Italy are quite lively, as the small restaurant is bursting with excitement from the local Italian residents cheering for their favorite team.

As lunchtime approaches the window fills with various types of just baked pizza, foccacia,and panini bursting with various meats and cheeses. The prosciutto with fresh mozzarella is my personal favorite. But don't miss their hot selections either - entrees change daily and could include roasted fish, rosamary scented leg of lamb, roast chicken or turkey served with your choice of side - pasta, roasted potatoes, or Italian style vegetables. The entrees are usually ten dollars or less and are a true value for such authentic quality cooking. The deli counter is filled with large of fresh salads, such as their Italian bread salad (panzanella), or their tuna and cannelli bean with fresh herbs.

A Taste of Authentic Cuban Cuisine at Budget Prices in South Beach!

A favorite treat for the locals and tourists alike for a authentic taste of Cuban cuisine is Las Olas Cafe in South Beach, located at 6th and Euclid. My day wouldn't be complete without one of their great Cuban coffees - Cafe Con Leche - strong Cuban Espresso coffee with steamed milk is my personal choice. You can mingle with the locals while waiting for your order at the outdoor counter.

In addition to some of the best coffee to be found, don't miss their delicious Cuban cuisine! They offer all sorts of daily specials such as Arroz Con Pollo (chicken with rice), homemade soups, plantains, rice and beans and much more. Also, try their wonderful Cuban sandwich made with freshly sliced pork loin, ham, swiss cheese, yellow mustard, mayo, and pickles - all pressed and grilled to gooey crispy perfection, great to carry along to a trip to the beach! If you happen to see a stretch SUV limo or black Lincoln Town Car parked in front, you'll know it is me waiting for my daily fix of great Cuban java! Stop and say hi!

La Sandwicherie - best sandwich on South Beach!

I just came back from having a casual bite at my favorite sandwich stand on South Beach. Simple yet scrumptious, La Sandwicherie fits the bill when it comes to delicious, fresh sandwiches at a budget minded price.

We arrived by Lincoln Town Car to La Sandwicherie located in back of a gas station on 14th Street between Collins & Washington. It is a no frills outdoor counter with about ten stools for seating, but don't let the casual appearance dissuade you from having the best sandwiches in the area.

For your sandwhich, you have a choice of a crusty French baguette or a flaky buttery croissant. Today, I had the baguette with rare roast beef, and fresh mozzarella.

Now what makes these sandwiches so wonderful are the toppings. Choose from lettuce, tomato, onions, cucumbers, green peppers, and small French pickles called cornichons. It is all topped off with the homemade dijon mustard vinaigrette offered on the side.

Also recommended are their refreshing fruit smoothies in a variety of flavors. Run, don't walk, to La Sandwicherie for a slice of French sandwich heaven! It is open 24 hours a day, so if it's a late night after clubbing, be safe and take the stretch SUV limousine or our Lincoln Town Car sedan for your late night re-fueling excursion. Bon Appetit!
